Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a prestigious healthcare organisation based in Cambridge. With a budget of £203 million and 1,000 beds, it employs over 8,500 staff dedicated to the provision of a wide range of clinical and non-clinical services. The Trust has a series of proposals designed to develop the Addenbrooke's site as a major centre for treatment and research on a European scale.

Formerly known as Addenbrookes, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust gained both a new name, and foundation status, on 1st July 2004.

The Hospital is a national and regional centre for cancer services, liver transplants, organ transplantation, neurosciences and genetics. Also the hospital is the Major Trauma Centre for the East of  England

Addenbrooke's is the local district hospital for the 480,000 people who live in the Cambridge sub-region and the surrounding district. It provides a comprehensive acute, maternity and mental health service.
